Welcome to GeoAsia8 – the 8th Asian Regional Conference on Geosynthetics.

GeoAsia8 will explore the appropriate use and beneficial impact of geosynthetics on civil infrastructure and sustainability throughout Asia.

This quadrennial conference is a major regional technical conference and trade show of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), by IGS Australasia (ACIGS).

International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) is a not-for-profit organisation which was founded in Paris in1983, by a group of geotechnical engineers and textile specialists. The Society brings together individual and corporate members from all parts of the world, who are involved in the design, manufacture, sale, use or testing of geotextiles, geomembranes, related products, and associated technologies, or who teach or conduct research about such products. Membership of IGS is primarily organised through National Chapters. There are currently 43 country chapters with over 3,000 individual members.
