Welcome to the registration page for the 8th Asian Conference on Geosynthetics (GeoAsia8).
All persons intending to attend the Conference must complete an online Registration Form.

The welcome reception is inclusive in all full registration categories and not day registration.

To be entitled to the early registration fee you must have registered and paid by 10 February 2025, 11:59 AEST
Dinner Tickets
Please note that some Full Conference registrations include dinner if you purchase that registration type.
Affiliate Registrations
Affiliate registration category is applicable for members of the following associations/society:
- Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS)
- Queensland Tailings Group (QTG)
- Waste Management and Resource Recovery (WMRR) Australia
- Waste Management New Zealand (Waste MINZ)
- Australia and New Zealand committee on Large Dams (ANCOLD)
- Australian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA)
Visa Requirements
All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia. Please note that, for international participants, to obtain an Australian visa an invitation letter is not required. Once you have registered and paid the registration fees in full then your confirmation of registration or tax invoices for payment of registration fees is sufficient to lodge with your visa application.

Note – it is strongly recommended that Australian visa applications are lodged at least 2-3 months prior to departure from your port of origin.

Please note communications sent by external travel providers are not associated with Arinex Pty Ltd. All official event travel and accommodation arrangements, and communications regarding your registration will be sent to you directly by Arinex Pty Ltd.

Registration Terms and Conditions
Full Conference registrations receive the following:
- Morning, lunch and afternoon tea catering
- Access to the Welcome Reception
- Opportunity to purchase additional guest tickets for social functions, if required
- Entry to the trade exhibition across the Conference days
- Access to discounted accommodation rates at nearby hotels, available exclusively for Conference attendees
Day Conference registrations receive the following, for the nominated day/s:
- Morning, lunch and afternoon tea catering
- Opportunity to purchase additional guest tickets for social functions, if required
- Entry to the trade exhibition Conference days, for the nominated day/s
- Access to discounted accommodation rates at nearby hotels, available exclusively for Conference attendees
Registration confirmation
Your completed registration and successful payment will be acknowledged via email with a confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will only be processed or confirmed if payment does accompany your form.
Name badge
Each delegate of the Conference will receive a name badge upon registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Credit Card
Please note the preferred payment method for online registrations is by credit card, but there is the option to request a tax invoice. Accepted credit cards are MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS and American Express. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by Arinex’.
EFT/Invoice
Payment via EFT will be available from the registration open date and will close one (1) month prior to the conference. Attendees will receive an invoice for the registration fee within their registration confirmation email that is sent upon completion of the registration form. Payment via eft is required within 14 days from the date of invoice.
Registrations with outstanding EFT payments over 14 days, will be advised of cancellation if payment is not received within 7 days of notification.
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers at register.geoasia8@arinexgroup.com.
Registration Fees
- Cancellations before Monday 10 March 2024 will incur a A$150.00 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations from Monday 10 March 2025 to Wednesday 30 April 2025 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations on or after Thursday 1 May 2025 will receive no refund.
Accommodation
One night’s deposit must be paid OR credit card details must be provided at time of booking to guarantee reservation. Deposit is non-refundable as at Saturday 10 May 2025
Social
Payments are non-refundable as at Saturday 10 May 2025
Tours/ Workshops
Payments are non-refundable as at Saturday 10 May 2025
The program is correct at the time of publishing. The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items from the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice. Neither the host organisation(s) nor the Conference Managers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.
The Conference Managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.
The Organiser of GeoAsia8 Conference (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/Event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid. Please view the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) Code of Conduct here which all attendees are expected to comply with.
