GeoAsia8 Photo Competition

1. Who Can Enter
   • Open to all ACIGS members in Australia and New Zealand.
   • Participants from PNG and Pacific Islands can enter without membership.
   • GeoAsia8 Conference participants.
2. Original Work & Permissions
   • Entrants must own the rights to their photos or have written permission from the rightful owner/client.
   • By submitting, entrants confirm that the photo is not borrowed or copied from any third party.
   • AI-generated images are not permitted. If a photo is found to be AI-generated, it will be disqualified.
3. Submission Window
   • Opens: 1 April 2025
   • Closes: 31 May 2025 at 5:00 PM AEST
4. How to Submit
   1. Complete the registration form here – Photo Competition Entry Form
   2. Email your photo to info@acigs.org
      • Name files using your name and company (e.g., “JaneDoe_GeoSolutions.jpg”).
      • Once entries close, we will remove personal and company details before sharing with judges to ensure anonymity.
      • Please ensure your photos are no larger then 8MB and are submitted in JPG format.
      • Photos must clearly demonstrate or represent geosynthetic material or technology in use, without product branding.

First Prize:

• A free ACIGS membership for 2026.
• $1,000 cash prize.

Runner-Up Prizes:

• $500 cash prize for second place.
• $250 cash prize for third place.

Recognition:

• Winning photos will be showcased in conference-wide slideshows, digital displays, and background media.
• Your name and company will be featured prominently in the GeoAsia8 conference program and online platforms.

Online and Social Media Spotlight:

• Winners and selected entries will be featured on GeoAsia8’s and ACIGS’s websites and social media channels, including project highlights.

• By entering, you confirm that:
  • You have the full legal right to the submitted photo (or have written permission from any relevant client or third party).
  • You have secured all necessary permissions, including any client approvals if the image features proprietary or sensitive content.
  • Your image is not AI-generated.
• Disqualification:
  • ACIGS reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate copyright laws, involve misrepresentation, or are found to be AI-generated.

• Industry Exposure: Your work will be seen by geosynthetics professionals from around the globe at GeoAsia8.
• Professional Recognition: Winning entries are highlighted in the official conference program and promotional materials.
• Networking Opportunity: Connect with peers, sponsors, and industry leaders.
• Cash & Membership Rewards: Win prizes and enjoy a free ACIGS membership for 2026 (for the Grand Prize winner).
